Volleyball Style (DOAX1): I think that Hitomi is one of the best players in the game. She's got great power, sturdy defense, great hands, and good touch at the net. Her angles are her weakness, though they aren't as terrible as someone like Tina. As a partner, she's fantastic. I usually partner with her. Not only is she really easy to make happy enough to partner with and likes all the girls, but she rarely makes mistakes in the back court. She, along with Helena, is a nightmare to play against if she's in a Confident mood. You can't go wrong with Hitomi as your partner.

Volleyball Style (DOAX1): Pure technique. She's a master of painting the corners and finding the spaces between your opponents. She's also got great, soft touch at the net with blocks and light blips over the net. The best in the game in that regard. The drawback to all this great finesse is that she's got terrible defense. Most of the other girls can knock her down with a good spike, and she's also weak, so can't shoot back with power shots. She's an okay partner, but if you're against a team with Tina, Lisa or Hitomi, she'll be on her ass half the match. She can be really easy to beat as an opponent, but she can also be really tricky. She's not the bitchiest girl, but she's definitely the most tempramental. If you stop playing volleyball for a while, she'll become less confident, which can be irritating. Some people swear by her, and others hate using her.

Volleyball Style (DOAX1): Ayane is a finesse player, much like her sister, Kasumi. She has a little more defense than Kasumi, so she doesn't get knocked down as easily, and she's a little better-matched against the power characters. Her technique is also very good, so shots won't roll out of her hands. She has good touch at the net, and can really play the angles and wrong-foot opponents, but she's rather weak, and the other girls don't have much problem returning her shots when they get their hands on them. I don't use her much as a partner, because she's hard to partner with because of her bad attitude, though she is sturdy in the back court. You have to be careful of playing in the morning with her as your partner, though. She doesn't like mornings, and it can affect your relationship if you make mistakes.

Volleyball Style (DOAX1): Personally, I think Helena is one of the best volleyball players, if not THE best. She's got super high defense, so can mostly take even the strongest spikes. She's also very sturdy on her feet, and has good technique. Her power isn't as strong as Tina or Hitomi, but she's much stronger than Kasumi or Ayane. Overall, she's a great player to play as. As a partner, she's also very good, though you have to watch out while playing in the morning because she doesn't like mornings. If you play in the morning with her, and make a mistake, she'll usually stop liking you enough to not give you Nice Points. Though, she is a lot more forgiving than Ayane. A confident Helena is also a nightmare to play against because she's really not bad at anything.

Volleyball Style (DOAX1): Tina's the Powerhouse, hands down. Her spikes are devestating. Her defense is good, but her technique is arguably the worst in the game. She flubs a LOT of shots in the back court and has bad hands at the net when trying to do light-touch shots. It's the drawback to all that power. She can partner instanty with Lisa, which is a big advantage, but it's somewhat hard to get her to be your partner if you're one of the other girls. It takes two or three love items. She can be finnicky, too. I'm actually really good with her, but the fact that she's so one-sided can be a problem. As an opponent, she can be a real problem, especially if you're being Kasumi or Ayane. Her spikes are so strong that she can knock down all the other girls, but she'll also make mistakes that can earn you points.

The only downside to her play is that when she's your partner, she tends to try and spike a lot from the back court, which can backfire and hit the net. As a partner, she's great. She likes everyone, and you can partner with Tina right off the bat, since they like each other so much. She has no real downsides. She can be tough as an opponent, so be wary.

Volleyball Style (DOAX1): Christie is middle of the road. She doesn't really have any weaknesses, but she isn't a specialist, either. Though, unlike Lisa who is similar in this regard, she's a little less intuitive. I've heard that others find her difficult to use, but I guess I'm so used to the volleyball that I don't notice it. I find she's a very capable partner, though does tend to flub a few shots in the back court. She's got decent power and speed, and good defense, which I think is her best strength. She's not as strong as Tina, but can pack punches with her spikes. Since she's unfriendly, she's hard to get as a partner, but once she likes you, she seems to stay loyal, even if you mess up.
